Hannah Onder is a junior mass communication major at Texas Wesleyan University. She added on two minors, English and sociology, in the spring of 2018. Hannah is a storyteller looking for the right job when she graduates from Wesleyan in 2020.
After working as a content producer for three semesters at the university newspaper, The Rambler, she became editor-in-chief. While working on her copy editing skills, Hannah still worked to produce content to hone her writing, design, and photography skills. After three semesters of working as the editor, Hannah is getting her feet wet with videoing skills and internships to polish up her portfolio in her final year before she graduates.
While working for The Rambler, Hannah’s work has placed in the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association (TIPA) for both print and online news, and print has placed in the top 10 nationally at the Associated Collegiate Press and Collegiate Media Association conference in Dallas, Texas in the fall of 2017. Individually, Hannah has been named Texas Headliners Foundation Scholar three times for the years 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2019-2020 by the Headliners Foundation of Texas. She was also awarded Reporter of the Year by The Rambler Media Group in 2016-2017 for publishing over 30 stories in her freshmen year and Editor of the Year in 2018-2019.
